Services
Available to residents of Colorado. Most of my work is one-on-one, with a few small groups also available. Sessions begin virtually, with the option to transition to in-person care once we've established a therapeutic relationship.
Areas of Focus
My individual practice centers on three populations I feel especially called to serve.
Children & Adolescents
Kids and teens see right through adults who talk at them instead of with them — and I'm not interested in being that adult. I start by earning real trust, not extracting information. For younger kids, that often happens through play; with teens, I adapt to how they actually communicate — drawing on CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. What I hear most from parents is that things shift at home first: a calmer kid, starting to say "I'm anxious" instead of slamming a door.
Veterans & Military Families
Military life doesn't hand you a manual for what comes after — the transition home, the shift in roles, the things you're still carrying. Whether you're active duty, a veteran, or the family holding everything together around them, I'm not here to judge any of it. I'm here to help you work through it. I bring significant experience with high-crisis situations, including suicidal and self-harm ideation, and coordinating care within the VA system.
Faith-Based Counseling
Faith is part of my own story, and for a lot of people it's not something you can separate from healing — it's woven into it. If you want your beliefs front and center in our work, we can build around that. If you'd rather it stay in the background, that's your call, not mine. And if faith isn't part of your life at all, that's okay too. Either way, I'll meet you where you are on your path.
Group Programs
Beyond individual therapy, I run a few small groups where people heal alongside others walking a similar road. Details and pricing are on the Pricing & Insurance page.
Children's Faith-Based Group
A small, steady group where kids and teens build real coping skills alongside others who get it — grounded in faith, and never heavy-handed. We draw on CBT, DBT, and play therapy techniques to help them actually practice what they're learning, not just talk about it. Parents often tell me the group gives their child language and friendships that carry well beyond our hour together.
Veterans Group
A steady, judgment-free space for veterans to work through the transition home alongside others who understand it firsthand — no explaining yourself required. We draw on CBT and DBT to build real coping skills, not just talk in circles. My experience working with veterans in high-crisis situations, including suicidal and self-harm ideation, and coordinating care within the VA system, means I know how to hold the harder moments too, not just the easier ones.
Also Offering
I work with adults and families navigating a range of challenges. If you're not sure whether your situation fits, reach out — I'm happy to talk it through.
Anxiety & Depression
When anxiety or depression has its hooks in you, even ordinary days feel heavy. We'll get practical — using CBT and DBT to name the thought patterns that keep the cycle spinning and build tools you can actually reach for when it's 2 a.m. and your mind won't quiet. Most people start catching themselves earlier, before the spiral takes over.
Life Transitions
A divorce, a new baby, a career you're leaving or starting, a move that reshuffled everything — big changes can leave you looking steady on paper and unmoored underneath. This is a place to sort through what the new chapter is actually asking of you, and decide who you want to be in it. We'll use ACT and motivational interviewing to help you get unstuck and move toward what actually matters to you. Most people leave feeling less like life is happening to them, and more like they've finally got a hand on the wheel.
Grief & Loss
Grief doesn't move on a schedule, and it doesn't only follow a death — it can trail a diagnosis, a marriage, or a version of life you thought you'd have. I use Kübler-Ross's five stages as a map, not a checklist — denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance rarely show up in order, and you might circle back to one you thought you'd already left. We'll make room for grief at your pace, until you can carry it in a way that lets you keep living.
Trauma-Informed Care
What happened to you shaped how you move through the world — often in ways that never felt like a choice. I work slowly, and I'm not interested in ripping the lid off before you're ready. Healing on someone else's timeline isn't healing. We use somatic work alongside talk therapy, because trauma lives in the body as much as the mind — and the past doesn't fully loosen its grip until the body believes it too. Over time, most people find they can finally feel safe in the present, not just understand it intellectually.
